BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Officials say a Blytheville man led deputies and police officers on a chase Saturday night after breaking into a pawn shop.
According to Mississippi County Sheriff Dale Cook, someone spotted David Edwards with stolen property.
Deputies received a tip that someone saw Edwards behind the Dodge's store, 3605 South Division St. in Blytheville.
Edwards then got into a brown car and went to Suburban Trailer Terrace Park.
Deputies moved in on Edwards' vehicle and that is when the suspect reportedly rammed into a squad car with a deputy inside.
Sheriff Cook said Edwards caused a significant amount of damage to the deputy's vehicle.
Edwards then led sheriff's deputies and Blytheville police officers on a chase throughout the city weaving through residential neighborhoods.
According to the incident report, the chase ended on Willow Street.
Deputies arrested Edwards and his passenger Samantha Krech. They were taken to the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department.
The sheriff said Edwards is a "numerous time felon."
He faces charges of aggravated assault, theft, burglary, first-degree criminal mischief and fleeing. Krech faces many of those charges as well, except burglary.
Bond for Edwards was set at $75,000, while Krech's was set at $30,000.
