Equipment, ammo stolen from Jonesboro business

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

In addition to a mini bike and thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment, police say someone also stole 5,000 rounds of ammunition from a Jonesboro business.

Monday morning the owner of Service Heating and Air reported someone broke into his business, located at 111 Walnut St., sometime after 3 p.m. Sunday.

According to the initial incident report, the suspect used something to pry open the back door.

Once inside, the suspect stole a wire welder valued at $1,000; two vacuum pumps valued at $900; a reclaim machine worth $900; an oxygen/acetylene torch kit worth $500; a red and white Honda mini bike valued at $700; $500 worth of miscellaneous hand tools; and 5,000 rounds of 22LR ammunition, estimated at $250.

There are no listed suspects at this time.
