BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - If you were looking to rent out the Walker Park pool in Blytheville, you won't be able to anytime soon.
The city is putting a hold on party bookings after a recent issue.
Parks and Recreation Director Elroy Brown said a guest attempted to rent out the pool but had more planned than just a simple gathering.
The city came across a flyer on Facebook from the guest who booked the pool promoting vulgar content, according to Brown.
Brown said the party host even planned to charge guests $5 to get in, which is not tolerated.
The park is a family friendly area with many children around. Therefore, loud music, alcohol, and tobacco are not allowed.
Now the city is not renting out the pool until they update the policy.
"We are working with our city attorney, the municipal league, and the mayor's office to put something in place so that we will have a better feel on what's taking place at our pool and what can and cannot be allowed," Brown said.
The pool is still open and this will not affect general swimming hours.
