BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police released more details in the arrest of a rape suspect.

According to a Jonesboro police report, officers arrested Willie Antone Matlock, 44, at an apartment on Gladiolus Drive. During his arrest, Matlock turned his back to the officer and placed his hands behind his back. When the officer informed Matlock he was wanted on warrants, the suspect said, "yeah for the Blytheville thing."

Region 8 News also learned in the police report that Matlock had warrants out of Mississippi County and Trumann. Matlock also had a warrant for failure to appear out of the Jonesboro Police Department.

Matlock is accused of raping a young girl for several years, according to Captain Scott Adams, Criminal Investigation Division commander of the Blytheville Police Department. Adams said police began the investigation when they learned of the allegations on May 23, 2016.

Adams said Matlock will be brought back to Blytheville to face charges.
