POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - A Pocahontas business is urging citizens to be on the lookout for fraudulent calls.
Five Rivers Medical Center has been contacted by residents stating that they have received calls from someone claiming to be with the hospital and asking them to settle their outstanding debt.
According to the hospital's chief financial officer, they believe that someone is calling people and fraudulently representing the hospital.
The financial officer added that residents must be cautious when taking a call from someone demanding payment over the phone and asking for the identity or account number.
Any residents who have received these calls are urged to call the Pocahontas Police Department at (870) 892-7747.
