JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - For years the Pregnancy Resource Center of Jonesboro has served women. Not it is turning its attention to men.
The center is reaching out to young men in crisis pregnancy situations to help prepare them for fatherhood.
Bill Becker, the men's ministry volunteer, said the counseling curriculum is called 24/7 Dad.
The series teaches men to communicate, discipline and how to be beneficial to a family.
"They have a void in their life that causes a lot of disruptions and difficulties," Becker said. "So we want to come alongside them, understand and know what it is to be a man, what it is to be a father, and even what it is to be a husband."
Becker said they are looking for men to volunteer to be mentors.
Anyone interested in participating in the class can call the resource center at (870) 932-6644. The services are free.
