DARE receives $10,000 check

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

President of Jonesboro Residents Against Illegal Drugs, Randall Bailey presented Craighead County DARE Officer Jamey Carter and Sheriff Marty Boyd with a check for $10,000 Wednesday.  

The check represents the proceeds from the 18th Annual RAID Supports DARE Tournament that was held in April, according to the Craighead County Sheriff's Office.  

The Craighead County DARE program is taught in both 5th and 7th grades and includes Bay, Brookland, BIC, Riverside and Westside schools.  

Donations are always welcome, as the majority of the curriculum is covered by donations.
