JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Arguments over a stolen cell phone and a haircut landed two men in jail after reports of shots fired in Jonesboro.

According to a Jonesboro Police Department incident report, police received a call about shots fired near the intersection of Alfred Watkins St. and Pineview St. around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers found several spent bullet casings in the middle of the road.

The officers were told a possible shooting victim was taken to St. Bernards and the suspects ran into nearby apartments.

After knocking on several apartment doors, police found two suspects and arrested them.

Deangelo Jones, 22, and Anderson Jones, 36, both of Jonesboro face a terroristic act charge, aggravated assault and defacing a firearm.

While checking on the possible shooting victim at St. Bernards, officers learned the man had not been shot. He stubbed his toe causing a scrape while running away when the shots were fired.

According to the incident report, the shooting stemmed from an argument between the victim and Anderson Jones regarding money owed for a haircut and a stolen cell phone.
