Amber Alert cancelled for missing Van Buren girl

9:22 UPDATE: The Morgan Nick Amber Alert for the missing 3-year-old from Van Buren has been cancelled.

According to Arkansas State Police, says that Van Buren police have inactivated the alert.

According to ABC affiliate KHBS, 3-year-old Layla Munholland was found safe in Grayville, Illinois.

She was found by Illinois State Troopers.

Police arrested Layla's mother, Chelsea Munholland. Chelsea Munholland's boyfriend is being questioned by police.


Police in northwest Arkansas are searching for a missing toddler.

According to ABC affiliate KHBS, 3-year-old Layla Munholland was taken from her great-grandmother's home in Van Buren early Friday morning.

Arkansas State Police have issued a Morgan Nick Amber Alert for Munholland. 

State police report the child's biological mother, Chelsea Munholland, and her boyfriend, Herbert Allen Thomas, broke into the home and took the girl. 

Layla's mother is currently waiting for a bed in the Arkansas Department of Correction for narcotics and theft charges. 

A car was also taken from the house. It is a gray charcoal 2006 Toyota Corolla with Arkansas licenses plate number 245-USV.
