JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Thieves take off with large spools of copper from a Jonesboro business.

According to a police report, wire and tools were reported stolen from a job site on the 5500-block of Johnson Avenue.

The complainant told police the wire was stored in an unfinished part of the job site and the tools were stored in boxes that showed no signs of forced entry, according to the report.

The report also states the complainant named 3 suspects, one being a terminated employee who would’ve had access to the materials, as well as that employee’s brother and girlfriend.

An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
