Shooting suspect given $100,000 bond

TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) - A judge issued a $100,000 bond for a Marked Tree man accused of opening fire at a man Thursday night.

The shooting happened on Richardson Street following an argument between two people, according to police.

The victim called 911 after the suspect, later identified as Byron Martin, 23, shot at his vehicle twice while he drove down the street.

Trumann police Sergeant Chad Mason said Martin was arrested in the parking lot of the Trumann Police Department.

Martin was given a cash only bond and ordered to appear in court again July 27. He was also ordered not to have contact with the victim.

Martin is charged with committing a terroristic act, a felony.
