JONESBORO, AR - Arkansas State University officials say 35 jobs at the school will be eliminated. The school also plans a tuition increase, but it still has to tighten its budget.
ASU president Les Wyatt told a campus planning committee meeting Thursday that the school needs more than the $1.7 million budget increase it got from the just-ended legislative session.
The jobs willl be eliminated as of June 30, which is the end of the state's current fiscal year. The positions include three faculty positions, 16 support jobs and 16 administrative posts.
