PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

UPDATE July 21: Gloria Tensley appeared in Greene County Circuit Court on Thursday.

She was given a $50,000 bond and is set to appear in court again August 29.

A woman's roommate told police he found the remains of a man. Now the woman is in jail.

The Paragould Police Department stated that skeletal remains were found in a home at 122 N. 4th Ave. Tuesday afternoon.

Police arrested Gloria Marie Tensley, 65, of Paragould in connection to the case.

Court documents state the man who made the discovery was living with Tensley for about three months before discovering the body. He found the remains in a bedroom while Tensley was away.

The man reported his discovery to police at a department substation.

Lt. Ken Jackson said the body was an adult male and had been there less than a year.

The identity of the body has not been determined.

A probable cause affidavit states during the preliminary investigation Tensley had been collecting the deceased man's Social Security benefits by using his debit card.

Tensley is charged with abuse of a corpse and fraud.
