SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT) -

One Sharp County town has some new equipment to help rescue crews in emergency situations.

State Representative Scott Baltz was able to get Cherokee Village a rescue boat, emergency lighting equipment, and a trailer to use as a portable command center.

Baltz tells Region 8 News the equipment all came from federal surplus.

Sharp County OEM Director David Woods sent Region 8 News these pictures of the new equipment.
