PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A free fish fry hopes to bring awareness to a cause helping Greene County men.
John 3:16 Ministries is sponsoring a free fish fry Saturday, July 23, at Browns Chapel Baptist Church in Paragould at 5 p.m.
John 3:16 Ministries is a faith-based rehab program in Charlotte, AR, for men battling addiction.
The group invites the entire community to the event in hopes of sharing food, fellowship, and testimonies.
At the fish fry, they will also discuss the fundraising efforts for the Greene County Faith House at John 3:16 Ministries.
As Region 8 News reported in January, a group is fundraising to build a house for Greene County men at the John 3:16 facility.
The facility will house 12 men from Greene County working to kick their addictions.
With a goal of $98,000, they have already raised over $60,000 and broke ground on the new home.
There will also be men who attend John 3:16 Ministries at the fish fry providing testimony of how it has helped them turn their lives around and showing where donations are used.
Door prizes will be given away, as well.
For more information on the fish fry or to donate to the Greene County Faith House, call Holly Burnett at 870-236-4300 or Jason Boling at 870-335-7593.
