JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Thursday’s Alive After Five in downtown Jonesboro has been canceled due to excessive heat.

According to a post on the group’s Facebook page, they are canceling the event because there are excessive heat advisories issued for the next several days.

“The health and safety of our volunteers, vendors, and participants are always Downtown Jonesboro Association and the Alive After Five committee's first priority,” the post stated.

The next Alive After Five market will be August 18.
