Four arrested after explosives found in car

CABOT, AR (KAIT) - Four people were arrested in Cabot Tuesday night after police found explosives in a vehicle.

According to a report from news outlet KARK, officers were called to a domestic disturbance between two men and a woman.

When a car was seen trying to leave the house, police stopped it.

Authorities reportedly found a green "military style ammo can" in the car with explosives inside. The explosive was trinitrotoluene also known as TNT.

Twelve nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution and the Little Rock Bomb Squad was called to the scene.

Marvin Davis, 33, and Melvin Schmidt, 49, were arrested and charged with criminal possession of explosives.

Two others at the scene were arrested on other charges.
