HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 city asks public input before going forward with park renovations.
The Harrisburg Area Chamber of Commerce is asking community members to attend the final public meeting Thursday, July 21, at 7 p.m.
The meeting is at the Municipal Building in Harrisburg.
According to a Facebook post from the Harrisburg Area Chamber of Commerce, the city is applying for a 50/50 grant to update Reddmann Park and Maddox Field.
As Region 8 News reported earlier this month, the parks are in need of major updates to provide better equipment and safety.
To better qualify for the grant, the city asks community members to attend the meeting and express what they would like to see at the parks.
Randy Mills, mayor of Harrisburg, also commented on the Facebook post encouraging everyone to attend.
For more information on the meeting call the Harrisburg Area Chamber of Commerce at (870) 578-4104.
