JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

A woman racked up a $628 tab taking a taxi from Nashville, TN to Jonesboro, but when she reached her destination, police say she didn’t want to pay for the ride.

A driver for Taxi Taxi of Nashville told Officer Trey Chism he had driven 21-year-old Antonia Lynn Holliman from the Music City to Jonesboro. Upon their arrival at 1:41 a.m. Thursday, Holliman refused to pay him.

The driver said she owed him $628 in fares.

Holliman, according to the initial incident report, told Chism she paid the company before making the 280-mile trip.

Chism contacted a representative with the cab company who said Holliman had just booked the ride and had not paid anything.

He arrested Holliman and took her to the Craighead County Detention Center then issued her a citation for theft of services.

At the time of the report, she was being held in lieu of a $770 surety bond awaiting a July 25 court appearance.
