NEA Baptist Hospital announces new surgeon

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Ahmed Halal, MD will join the NEA Baptist cardiovascular and thoracic surgery team. 

According to a news release from the hospital, Doctor Halal provides patients with a variety of surgical treatment options for both the heart and lungs. 

Doctor Halal completed his residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and Allegheny General Hospital. 

Halal completed an internship at Alexandria University in Egypt, where he also received his medical degree. 

Recently, Halal served as Medical Director of Cardiac Surgery for Fort Hamilton Hospital in Ohio.  

Halal is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and is board certified in both general surgery and thoracic surgery, 

Doctor Halal has been in practice since 2011.
