JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The owner of the Epic Center in Jonesboro held a concert Saturday night to give back.

Performers included Elvis D. Presley, The Memphis Revival Quartet, and the Southern Ground Band.

Sheila Layne said John T. Wayne came as a special guest to bring comedy to the stage.

Layne said she uses the space at the center for many different events throughout the year including weddings, baby showers, and sorority gatherings.

When she books big events like tonight's show, she is determined to give back to organizations in the community.

"I like to do it as a fundraiser, give part of the funds back to someone in the community, and that's what we did," Layne said. "We set down and said, 'Who can we give money to and who needs it, who needs it the most?' We put our brains together and said City Stars."

The Jonesboro City Stars is just one of the organizations that came to mind.

"Elvis also decided he wanted to give some to the United way and the Salvation Army," Layne said.

Each of these three organizations will receive a portion of all the proceeds collected at the show.

Tickets ranged from $15 to $25 and the snack bar had several items to choose from.

Layne plans to have two more fundraising events this year to help others in need.
