Man shot in arm, police investigating

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police are investigating after a man was shot early Saturday morning.

Officer Paul Williams responded to the St. Bernards Emergency Room around 2:20 a.m. Saturday in reference to a victim with a gunshot wound.

According to the Jonesboro police report, the 30-year-old man told the officer he was shot in the right forearm while in the 1800-block of Cedar Heights.

The victim said he did not know who fired the shot and did not think it was intended for him.

He said he was at the top of the hill, near the intersection of Melrose, and the shot came from the bottom of the hill, near the intersection of State Street.

Police could not get a description of the suspect. There are also no known witnesses at this time.
