Cocaine, cash seized following traffic stop

FORREST CITY, AR (KAIT) - Something missing from a man's car led to police finding drugs and cash.

Joseph Higgins, 24, of Forrest City was arrested following a traffic stop Wednesday, according to the Forrest City Police Department.

Higgins was reportedly driving a black Lexus with no license plate number displayed.

Following the traffic stop, Higgins was arrested after a detective found 22 grams of cocaine on him, the department states in a Facebook post.

Detectives continued their investigation to a local hotel where they conducted a search warrant.

Investigators, according to the department, found "additional narcotics." They also seized cash totaling $790.60.

Higgins faces numerous charges including possession of cocaine with purpose to deliver and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.

He is expected to be in court Thursday at 1 p.m.
