Carhop robbed at gunpoint

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Instead of placing an order, Jonesboro police say two armed men ordered a carhop to hand over the cash.

The holdup happened around 9 p.m. Thursday at the Sonic restaurant located at 1215 E. Johnson.

The 17-year-old victim told officers when she took an order to Station 26 she found a man standing there with no vehicle.

She described the suspect as a 5'6" white male with red hair and blue eyes, wearing basketball shorts, long socks, and Nike sandals.

The carhop read the man his order, according to the initial incident report, and he asked, "Huh?" She repeated the order to him, and he looked to the side.

When she looked in the same direction, a black male wearing all black, with a red bandana pulled over his mouth, pointed a silver handgun at her and said, "Come off with the apron."

As the victim was untying the apron, the suspect rushed her, grabbed the cash and side changer and ran away.

Anyone with information about this holdup should call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).
