Police investigating attempted robbery

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A man armed with a shotgun tried to rob a Blytheville pizza place late Thursday night, but a locked door prevented him from getting any dough.

A worker at Pizza Hut, 825 E. Main, was getting ready to make a delivery when he saw a black man pulling on the front door.

The employee told police the man was armed with a shotgun.

The suspect pulled on the door twice but was unable to get inside due to a magnetic lock, the incident report stated.

Since the first of the year, the restaurant has been robbed at least two times.

The first holdup occurred in April when two women robbed it and another business within one hour. On June 10, two men armed with a handgun and wearing masks entered the store and demanded all of the money in the safe and register.
