JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Whoever broke into a Jonesboro car dealer’s shop Thursday night stole all of the keys, but took just one car.

Willie Green of Church Street Auto Sales, 417 N. Church, reported Friday morning that sometime between 10:30 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. someone stole a 2007 Chevy Impala.

Green said the suspect broke a window out of his shop door, then reached inside and unlocked it, according to the initial incident report.

He told Region 8 News the crook bypassed a computer and stole the keys to the cars on his lot before driving off in the blue, four-door Impala. He estimated the car’s value at $3,500.

Green said his bank debit card was also inside the car at the time it was stolen, according to the police report.

If arrested, the suspect could face charges of commercial burglary; theft of property-credit/debit cards; theft of a vehicle valued at $5,000 or less but greater than $1,000; and criminal mischief.

Anyone with information on this case should call Crimestoppers at 935-STOP (7867).
