CORNING, AR (KAIT) -

The Corning Police Department got a visit from some local senior citizens.

According to the department’s Facebook page, a few women from the Corning Senior Citizens delivered "goodie" bags.

The woman brought bags for each officer and dispatcher.

They told the department the bags were to show their appreciation for the department and their work.

The post also stated children in vacation Bible school at First General Baptist Church gave the department a certificate and bag of treats.

The department said they are very appreciative of the support and thank everyone for the gifts.
