PARKIN, AR (KAIT) -

Cross County Deputies are searching for suspects involved in a shooting that sent one woman to the hospital after they found drugs, guns, and thousands of dollars in cash.

According to a press release, Thursday, July 21, the Cross County Sheriff's Office dispatch received a 911 call around 11:00 p.m. saying there were shots fired and multiple victims needed an ambulance.

When deputies arrived at the home in the 100-block of Mitchum in Parkin, they found a 23-year-old woman shot in the right arm bicep.

She was later taken to the CrossRidge Hospital after she told officers there were reportedly 2 to 3 other people at the residence.

Deputies entered the residence and found a large pool of blood along with a strong smell of marijuana in the air.

They did not find any other victims but the house was secured and a search warrant was issued.

Deputies later found several 45 caliber magazines with seven boxes of ammunition, two AR-15 magazines, a .22 Pistol, marijuana, and a large trash bag containing $34,520 with one counterfeit $20 bill.

A 2006 GMC Sierra 4 door was also seized as well.

As of right now the investigation is ongoing but according to Sheriff J.R. Smith, they do expect to make arrests in this incident.
