PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A Paragould man was hospitalized after a late night shooting.
It happened at a home on Gunner Loop in Paragould shortly before 9 p.m. on July 30.
Detective Jack Hailey with the Paragould Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division said they responded to a shots fired call and found 30-year-old Christopher Anderson with a gunshot wound to the foot.
Hailey said Anderson was transported to NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro where he told a Jonesboro police officer the shots came from a nearby residence.
The Paragould Police Department's CID, Street Crimes Unit, and Swat Team went to the home and found the owner, 33-year-old Barney C. Anderson, according to Hailey.
Witnesses say Barney had shot at Christopher and a pistol matching the same caliber of the fired shots was found with the suspect, according to court documents.
Barney Anderson faces first-degree battery charges. His cash-only bond was set at $10,000.
The case is under investigation by CID and the Street Crimes Unit.
