POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - The Randolph County group trying to get the wet/dry issue on the November ballot needs nearly 500 additional signatures.
Many of the signatures submitted to the county clerk's office were thrown out, according to Keep Revenue in Randolph County.
In a Facebook post, the group stated that 483 signatures were rejected by the Randolph County Clerk because they were either "bad signatures" or they had "incomplete data."
"You would be surprised and amazed at the reasons your signature might have been thrown out," the post stated. They added that if you wish to sign your name again, contact the Facebook group or text (870) 378-6248 for information on where to go.
Keep Revenue in Randolph County posted a list of the names that were thrown out to their Facebook page as well.
The group stated they have until Friday to get the remaining signatures needed. However, group chairperson Linda Bowlin said they are optimistic they will gather the needed signatures to get the issue on the November ballot.
