KENNETT, MO (KAIT) - Shoppers can take advantage of the sales tax holiday this weekend in Missouri.

The city of Kennett is coinciding its sales tax holiday weekend with the state of Missouri.

According to the Kennett city clerk, the sales tax-free weekend is Friday, August 5 through Sunday, August 7.

The tax-free exemption does have stipulations pertaining to school related items.

The Kennett Walmart posted a photo on its Facebook page with information on what is considered tax free.

For information, visit the Missouri Department of Revenue website.

This is also the weekend for the tax-free holiday in Arkansas, and if you are shopping this weekend don't forget Stuff the Bus.

Yellow school buses will be parked outside several Region 8 Walmart stores, including Kennett's Walmart, collecting school supplies for children in need.
