JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -

Jonesboro police need the community's help in locating a pair of purse snatchers.

The first incident happened at the intersection of Belt and Marshall Street around 10:40 a.m. Monday.

According to the report, a 32-year-old woman was giving a man a ride when he grabbed her wallet and jumped out of the vehicle.

She chased the man, ripping his shirt off before he got away. The man took a visa card, $200 cash and her I.D.

The second incident happened around 11:30 a.m. the same day at the intersection of State and Belt Streets.

According to the police report, a 71-year-old woman allowed a young man named Michael to mow her yard for her. He had reportedly mowed the woman's lawn before.

After Michael was paid $10, the woman agreed to drive him home.

The woman told police the boy then demanded money from her. She said he had a pointed object, possibly an ice pick.

She gave him $5 then drove him to the 200-block of Russell. The man then walked out of sight into an apartment complex.

If you can help police locate either of these individuals, contact Crimestoppers at 935-7867 (STOP).
