MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge announced Thursday that she will hold a mobile office in Mississippi County in August.
The mobile office will be held on August 25 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Mississippi County Senior Citizens Center located at 1101 David Lane in Blytheville.
According to a news release, the mobile office initiative was created by Rutledge in 2015 to give everyone access to the office.
Last year, office hours were held in all 75 counties, and 40 mobile offices have been held since January of 2016.
The office aids residents with consumer-related issues in filing consumer complaints against scam artists.
The staff is also on hand to answer questions about the office and other services it offers to constituents.
Earlier this year Rutledge expanded the services offered through the offices to include Prescription Drug Take Back boxes.
She partners with local law enforcement agencies all over Arkansas who will handle a secure box and properly dispose of the prescriptions collected.
Arkansans are encouraged to bring old, unused or expired prescription medications to an upcoming mobile office.
