Clay County Task Force moves to Rector

Clay County Task Force moves to Rector

RECTOR, AR (KAIT) - The Clay County Rescue Task Force is making a move to Rector.

The task force asked the city of Rector if they could move into the motor pool shop behind the old armory.

This month the council approved the task force to take over the building.

The task force got a 99 year lease on the building, according to task force President Jeff Wolfenbarger.

Currently, the task force is housed in the old county road shop in Piggott.

Wolfenbarger said the task force will move to the new location in Rector by the middle of September.

He said this location is bigger and more centrally located, which will help response times for the team.

Wolfenbarger said this move will not only benefit the task force, but also the county as a whole.

The team will make a few updates to the area before they move in.

Wolfenbarger told Region 8 News the task force cannot thank the council enough for considering them for the building.
