BONO, AR (KAIT) -

Two Bono boys spent the day trying to make life a little better for those who protect and serve.

Dakota and Weston Niswonger went to the Arkansas State Police headquarters, the Jonesboro Police Department, the Craighead County Sheriff's Department, and the Bono Police Department to drop off "survival kits" for officers.

Dakota said they simply deserve it.

"We wanted to do this because the officers save us and respect us and we wanted to respect them back," Dakota said.

The kits were filled with things like Payday candy bars since officers don't do their job for the money, and Tootsie Rolls because officers have to roll with the punches.

In total, the brothers handed out 105 bags to area law enforcement officers.
