Man charged with murder after wife found run over

WHITE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - White County sheriff's deputies arrested a man Saturday morning accused of running over and killing his wife.

According to a press release from the sheriff's department, dispatch got a call at 6:08 a.m. that someone had been run over by a car in McRae.

When deputies and McRae first responders arrived at the scene in the 100-block of Moss Lane they found 51-year-old Stacy Jo Moss under a vehicle and unresponsive.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her husband, 55-year-old Bobby Moss was found inside the house and taken into custody after being developed as a suspect.

After detectives spoke with Moss, he was charged with capital murder.

He is being held without bond.

Moss is scheduled to appear in White County Circuit Court on September 6.

The sheriff's department said it is an ongoing investigation.
