SEBASTIAN COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - One of the law enforcement officers shot Wednesday morning in Northwest Arkansas has died.
Sebastian County Sheriff's Deputy Bill Cooper has died following the shooting, according to ABC affiliate KATV.
According to ABC affiliate KHBS-TV, the shooting happened on Highway 253 in Sebastian County.
Billy Jones of Greenwood is the suspect, according to the Sebastian County Sheriff's Department.
KATV reports that Jones is in custody.
Authorities say the arrest comes after Jones barricaded himself inside a home following the shooting Wednesday morning.
Jones is accused of shooting Cooper and Hackett Police Chief Darrell Spells.
