JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A groundbreaking is scheduled for the Hyatt Place Hotel and Convention Center project in Jonesboro later this month.
According to a press release from Gary Harpole, the groundbreaking will be held Aug. 16 at 2:30 p.m. at 2920 McClellan Drive.
State and local officials, as well as members of the Keller family and the development team, are scheduled to speak.
The 159-bed hotel and convention center is expected to be complete sometime in 2017.
This is one of two convention center projects currently underway in Jonesboro.
The other is planned to be built on A-State's campus.
