BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) -

Blytheville police are searching for several men suspected of aggravated residential burglary.

According to the incident report, police responded to the 100-block of East Missouri around 11 p.m. Monday.

When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with the homeowner who told them she, as well as her niece and her five young children, were in the home when they heard a loud noise.

The victim said a door on the west side of the home was forced open and five unknown men wearing masks entered the home.

The victim told police one of the men was carrying a gun and shot once when he entered the kitchen.

The suspects then ordered them to get on the floor and held the gun to their heads, demanding to have their purses.

The men then took a purse and ran out of the house.

The purse contained an unknown amount of cash, a bank card, and Social Security cards.

According to the incident report, officers on the scene saw a hole in the living room wall consistent with a bullet and one .40-caliber shell casing in the kitchen.

No one was injured in the incident and no other property was reported stolen or damaged.
