Paragould woman faces charges after stabbing

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A Paragould woman faces battery charges after police say she stabbed a man in the back.

According to an affidavit, Sarah Chapman Bradshaw went to a Paragould home in the 6000-block of Deerwood Drive on Aug. 10 and used a knife to stab Austin Arterbery in the back.

Arterbery had a one-inch puncture wound near the left side of his back. Witnesses at the scene who were with Bradshaw said they heard her admit to stabbing Arterbery, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit also states the knife used in the stabbing was found near the Wendy's restaurant in Paragould, where the witnesses said it was located.
