PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Mission Outreach in Paragould has desperately needed to make repairs to the inside of their facility.
For 34 years they've seen rust and water leaks in the building.
Now, thanks to a $188,000 grant from the Arkansas Development Commission, they can replace all heat and air units, windows with more energy efficient windows, install new insulation and metal siding, and get new asphalt for their parking lot.
"Everybody involved with Mission Outreach loves the new look," Executive Director Jeremy Biggs said. "They are proud of it, everyone in the city of Paragould and Northeast Arkansas will be proud of it as a place for homeless and families in poverty to come to for assistance."
Biggs also said he is extremely thankful for all the contractors, crews, and people who worked on the building.
When the repairs are finished, they hope to save around $400 a month in utilities.
