PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

A Paragould man faces drug charges after an arrest at a convenience store.

A Paragould Police Department detective said an officer stopped at a convenience store on Aug. 12 and noticed a woman he arrested in the past.

After running her information, the officer found out Jessica Wagster had warrants and arrested her.

The detective said Shawn Stanfill was driving the vehicle Wagster was in and his information was also checked.

The officer was told Stanfill had a suspended license and called for a K9 unit to search Stanfill’s vehicle. The K9 alerted officers to the smell of narcotics.

After searching the vehicle, one ounce of meth was found underneath the carpet by the gas pedal, according to the detective.

Wagner does not face any charges related to this incident.

Stanfill was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and a judge set his bond at $175,000.
