Suspect accused of stealing women's identities

IZARD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Sheriff's investigators say a woman who uses three different last names used another woman's name to go on a spending spree then tried to use yet another woman's bank account to pay off the bill.

Izard County sheriff's deputies arrested 55-year-old Genena Snyder of Oxford on suspicion of forgery, identity fraud, and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Snyder, who also goes by the names Genena Johnson and Genena Adams, is accused of obtaining a credit card in another person's name.

After getting the card, according to a news release from Sheriff Tate Lawrence, Snyder used the card to charge more than $23,000.

Lawrence said Snyder then attempted to pay the charges using a bank account of yet another victim.

She remains in the Izard County Detention Facility on $30,000 bond awaiting an appearance in circuit court on Sept. 19.
