RANDOLPH COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Several roads in Randolph County were closed Monday because of flooding.

Road crews worked to make some roads passable, but others could not be re-opened.

Randolph County Judge David Jansen said that water had washed gravel off roads, and crews were trying to patch them up.

Deborah Crawford of Pocahontas witnessed how dangerous the flooding can be.

“The old man started crossing the street here by the creek, and he got hung up there, and they had to come pull him out, and there’s been cars that have gone off into the creek,” she said.

Country Club Road and Pyburn Road in Pocahontas were closed. Valley Chapel Road at Ruby Trail in Ravenden Springs was closed as well.
