New polling site set for elections in Poinsett County

Polling site changed in Marked Tree

MARKED TREE, AR (KAIT) - A polling site change in Poinsett County will cause a minor change for voters in September.

According to Poinsett County Clerk Teresa Rouse, there is a new polling site in Marked Tree.

In the past, the polling site in Marked Tree was at ASU Newport Technical Center on Highway 63.

Because of renovations to that facility, the county is no longer able to use that location for polling.

The new permanent polling site for Marked Tree is the First Baptist Church located at 412 Liberty St.

Rouse said anyone with questions regarding the change should contact the her office at 870-578-4410 or contact a member of the Poinsett County Board of Election Commissioners.

The Marked Tree First Baptist Church will be where voters need to cast their votes for the September school board elections and the election in November.
