JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Northeast Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross is on standby to send crews to Baton Rouge.
Disaster Program Manager Dean Hannah said the chapter is waiting to make sure Northeast Arkansas does not need help locally first.
Hannah said once the Red Cross knows the local areas are not in danger of flooding they will start sending crews to Louisiana.
Hannah said he is not sure what day they will be able to start sending teams, but they are ready to help whenever they are cleared.
