Man wanted for crime in Blytheville arrested in TX

Man wanted in connection to aggravated robbery

BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - A man wanted for a local crime on Thanksgiving Day last year is now in custody outside of Arkansas.

Blytheville police investigated an incident on Nov. 26, 2015, where a robbery took place in the 1700-block of Chickasawba St., according to Captain Scott Adams.

The victim said he was watching TV when a knock came at his door.

Upon answering the door, four black males forced their way inside. One of the four was armed with a handgun.

The group reportedly stole the victim's TV, PlayStation 4, and cell phone then fled.

Adams states officers identified and arrested two suspects in the case.

Officers also identified 21-year-old Daveyonn Berry as a suspect and warrants were issued for aggravated residential burglary and entered into the National Crime Information Center.

Officers could not immediately find Berry.

However, Adams states the department was notified on Sunday that Berry was arrested on warrants in Dallas, TX.

He will be extradited back to Blytheville to be arraigned in district court in a few days, according to Adams.
