JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Craighead County Clerk's office is making it easier for genealogists and others to search their family trees.
Starting Wednesday, all marriage records held within the Western District of the county will be available online.
County Clerk Kade Holliday said the site will provide "instant access to data to all citizens for various uses, such as genealogical research."
Images will be uploaded and the data updated weekly until it is fully cataloged and stored for permanent protection.
"It is our goal over the coming months to have all data held in this office (DBA, minutes, county court orders, etc.) available for public access to increase transparency across the board," Holliday said. "We hope that citizens will enjoy using this new service."
He said Eastern District licenses will be live by year's end.
