GREENE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - Greene County employees will get a raise in their salaries this year.
The Greene County Quorum Court approved the raise during its August meeting.
According to County Judge Rusty McMillon, full-time county employees will get a 3.5 percent raise starting in September.
McMillon said the finance team started looking at the possibly of a raise last year. They said if the budgets were balanced and stable, a raise would be possible.
He said after crunching the numbers this year and looking at the budgets, the raise is financially possible for the county.
The vote passed unanimously.
McMillon said the council is excited to offer this raise to employees.
