Police looking for man after leaving accident scene

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KAIT) - Poplar Bluff police are looking for a man who left the scene of an accident on Tuesday.

According to a press release from Captain J. R. Keirsey, police responded to the intersection of 9th Street and Lester Street because of a vehicle crash.

When officers arrived, they found that the driver, Joshua Forbes, 24, of Broseley, Missouri left the scene of the accident on foot while carrying a baby in a car seat.

Police had medical personnel examine the mother and the baby and determined they were not injured.

Forbes has several outstanding warrants including being a parole absconder and charges of leaving the scene of an accident.
